"How Do I Know If I'm Called to Missions?"
Do you know Jesus as your Savior? Then you're called (Acts 1:8). that was easy, huh?! Now for the hard part: Where are you called? Missions can take place in your own neighborhood, across town, or across the world.
Have you ever attempted to lead a dog who decides to lie down? If the dog isn't too big, you might be able to drag him on the leash for a short distance. But eventually, you'll probably just give up. It simply isn't worth it.
Many Christians act like the dog. They ask God for guidance in some area, and then proceed to cross their arms and plop down-- waiting for God to tow them to the next point. God doesn't drag people into ministry. He leads them.
Just as a dog is easily led when walking, so we are easily led when in motion. Not sure if God is calling you to missions abroad? No problem-- start walking. God will gently steer you towards or away from opportunities. But He will not tug, pull and prod to get you on your feet.
If you have never attempted ministry in your local church, that is a good place to start. That puts you in motion. From there God can lead wherever you need to go. If you have already spent time ministering in your local church, then fill out our application or call for a free coaching session. Don't worry-- you'll feel no pressure and no obligation from our caring staff. But you might find God steering you towards or away from missions outside of your own community.
Reaching the lost for Christ is the most exhilarating, frustrating, fulfilling, maddening experience you will ever have. How do you know if you're called to missions? Well, just take a look around you. Now get moving!
